
All candidates must have at least three letters of recommendation submitted WITH a standardized referee form that can be downloaded from the evaluation form website.
Individuals who did not graduate from an AVMA accredited veterinary college will be considered only if they have participated in at least 6-8 weeks of training in a North American veterinary teaching hospital and have at least two letters of recommendation from that experience. All candidates that graduated from a veterinary college in which English is not the primary language of instruction must also pass a test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 (213 computer based). All application materials must be translated into English. Any offer will be contingent upon obtaining an approved work authorization (visa) that will allow you to report to The Ohio State University Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences for the beginning of your internship/residency no later than June 23, 2008.
The Ohio State University offers a comprehensive benefits package (including health) to all staff. A license to practice in the State of Ohio is required (limited to Ohio State activity). Interns may schedule up to 10 working days of vacation with the permission of the program director and applicable service chiefs. Interns may also schedule 3 additional days for residency/job interviewing. A certificate of achievement will be presented upon successful completion of the program.
