Dear Alumnus,

You are invited to attend The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend September 5-7, 2008. We are holding a variety of events to welcome you back to campus. We begin the weekend on Friday with an outstanding continuing education course highlighting the many expert faculty we have at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Our keynote speaker will be NASA astronaut, Dr. Rick Linnehan (DVM '85), who will speak on his recent mission to the International Space Station aboard STS-123. Our traditional dinner, class reunions, Alumni Society Annual Meeting and auction will be held that evening at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Café. Saturday highlights include: the Alumni Society Board Meeting, The Dean's "State of the College" address, the tailgate and the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. the Ohio University Bobcats football game. Please consider sponsoring a student to attend the dinner on Friday or the tailgate on Saturday. The Ohio State Alumni Association also will be hosting events that you can participate in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This year we are offering an opportunity for all alumni to register online and pay by credit card, in partnership with the Ohio State Alumni Association. Registrations received after August 15 will be assessed a $20 late fee. For cancelled registrations made prior to August 29, there will be a $20 late fee. There are no cancellation refunds after August 29, and all registrations made after August 29 must be approved by Dr. Michelle Harcha, (614) 292-9296. If you choose to mail in your registration, please make checks payable to the Ohio State Alumni Association.

Football tickets for alumni continue to be limited and will be distributed on a first come first served basis. In order to purchase football tickets you must be a member of both the Ohio State Alumni Association and the Ohio State Veterinary Alumni Society. Each person will be limited to purchasing two game tickets or two total tickets per household, and they must be purchased with the barbecue. Confirmation notices will be sent as soon as possible. If you already have tickets to this game via other sources, we ask that you refrain from ordering tickets through us and plan to join your fellow alumni and friends of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the board meeting, "State of the College" address and tailgate.
