Food Animal Medicine and Surgery Residency

Clinical Rotations

This program allows the resident to work with each of the Boarded faculty within the section on a case by case basis as well as encouraging interaction with other specialists within the department and college. All residents participate in operation of an emergency service on a rotating basis. Clinical rotations facilitate development of clinical proficiency, clinical skills and knowledge of medicine and surgery through exposure to a variety of cases at all levels of complexity. This goal is facilitated by the largest clinic food animal caseload in the country. Case management is carried out with the guidance and collaboration of experienced faculty who are recognized experts in their respective fields. State?of?the?art equipment and facilities are available to develop technical expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
