Our main focus is on small animal medicine and surgery.  We also do exotic medicine and surgery and emergency medicine and surgery.

Responsibilities

            Professional attire, promptness, reading ahead of time (day before) for cases for following day; assist in exams (restraint, radiology, phlebotomy, etc).  Lab analysis, evening emergency work; overnight ICU care, possible shelter animal surgeries depending on student performances.  One page paper on case seen during externship at Hopi, etc.

 

Student Supervision

The student will have access to the veterinarians Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm or Tues to Friday 5–midnight and Saturday 8am-3pm.
