Graduate Biosciences Program

As a part of one the most comprehensive health sciences centers in the nation, the graduate program in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences at The Ohio State University offers outstanding training opportunities for post-doctoral veterinary and pre-doctoral, non-veterinary students whose career goals include medical specialty and/or research education leading to a PhD or MS degree.

The biosciences graduate program offers an opportunity to work with nationally- and internationally-renowned faculty within the department as well as faculty in the Ohio State University colleges of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Children's Hospital Research Institute.

Annual extramural research support for the Department of Veterinary Biosciences is over $7 million, which places the department in the top tier of veterinary schools throughout the world. The department currently supports approximately 70 graduate students. The Ohio State University is a premier graduate-degree granting institution with more than 11,000 graduate students and 116 graduate programs.
