Required grade point average (GPA)

The GPA for admission is not absolute; however, below is the breakdown for Ohio Residents and Non Residents who are given preferential consideration:

• Ohio: 3.00 average or above
• Non-residents: 3.40 average or above

Special test requirements

• MCAT: minimum score of 24
  OR
• GRE: minimum score of 1000 (Applicants must complete the verbal, quantitative, and analytical (writing) sections of this test)

To be considered for a given application year, the selected tests must have been taken within the preceding five years. The GRE/MCAT test must be taken no later than September 30.  The applicant must have ETS send official GRE scores directly to OSU College of Veterinary Medicine as soon as the test is taken.
