The Ohio State Student Theriogenology Club, a student chapter of the Society for Theriogenology promotes the attainment of hands-on experience in this area by sponsoring such activities as the Artificial Insemination Shortcourse, Dystocia Team, the Fetotomy Wetlab, Canine and Equine Breeding Soundness Exams, a Sheep Ultrasound Lab, trips to regional breeders, and speakers such as Jogayle Howard from The National Zoo.

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine recognizes the importance of theriogenology to the education of veterinarians by offering a variety of elective classes in the theriogenology area in addition to the required Reproduction class that is part of the core of courses taught at the second year level.

The Therio Club is the second largest club at The OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. A "hands on" approach to learning is emphasized and therefore students are afforded many opportunities not available in a traditional classroom environment. Through wet labs, guest speakers, short courses, and field trips, the club strives to introduce students to the study of reproduction.
