Backing Up Local Files
In order to comply with The Ohio State University MCSS and Institutional Data Policies, the method used to back up data will vary based on the type of data.
Restricted data
- It is against OSU and CVM policy to have restricted data on any system that is not university owned or that is not fully encrypted
- If you are unaware of what Restricted Data is, you should take the mandatory Institutional data Training
- After you take the training, if you would like additional information on Restricted Data, please reference the CIO site
