Various images of horsesThe College of Veterinary Medicine of The Ohio State University is considered one of the leading institutions in equine clinical, basic, and translational research in the World. This status is the result of the hard work and dedication of past and current faculty and staff members, as well as the kind support of friends and various funding institutions.

Mission

The Equine Research Program has the mission of investigating clinically relevant problems of horses and foals through the use of state-of-the-art technologies and research collaborations with academic and private institutions with the final goal of improving equine health.

To address our objectives, there are several well-established equine research programs that are lead by renowned equine researchers and clinicians. Our success in equine clinical, basic, and translational research is the product of the high quality faculty, residents, interns, and staff, as well as the support of the College, friends, the private sector, and various funding agencies.
