What is VetStar?

Vetstar is our College of Veterinary Medicine hospital information system (HIS). Much like a human medical system, Vetstar is the core computing system of our hospital and helps us manage our client and patient data, clinical practices, and accounting within OSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Vetstar was developed by Advanced Technology Corporation (ATC) in the 1980s and has had numerous updates since that time. It is one of the two most popular systems used among colleges and schools of veterinary medicine. We are reviewing other vendor products as possible replacements for Vetstar.

What happened to the HOME screen? Why did it change?

VetStar, like all software, needs to be updated periodically to enhance the user experience, increase functionality, and fix bugs. The user interface change is the result of a recent update.
