Baker, Robert F: Dr. Robert F. (DVM '42) and Mrs. Mary Place Baker, of Wapakoneta, married in 1939, recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on September 27, 2009. Dr. Baker, the 1994 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award granted by The Ohio Animal Health Foundation of the Ohio Veterinary Medication Association, now retired, formerly practiced veterinary medicine in Spencerville and Cridersville, Ohio.
The Bakers are the parents of five children: Dr. Ellen (Dr. John Doolittle) Baker of Washington, DC; John (Bernadine) Baker of Columbus; Dr. Ann (DVM ‘77) (Dr. Fred Ryan) Baker of Lima; Bruce (Pam) Baker of Buckland; and Martha Baker of Lima. They have six grandchildren: Sarah Baker (Mark) Franks, Alexis Baker, Andrew Baker, Vanessa Baker, Aaron Baker, and Elizabeth Ryan (OSU, Class of 2013).
Dr. and Mrs. Baker are founding members of the Cridersville Historical Society, and members of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta.
Hadlow, William T.: I'm now completely retired after more than 50 years as a general veterinary pathologist.
Reeser, Donald David: Still wood carving and travelling - Mississippi cruise, Costa Rica and Florida elder hostels. Supplying neighbors with tomatoes big time! Had total left hip replacement and walking normally for a change.
Rosenberger, Jim Henry: Fully retired - practiced for 50 years in Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio. Moved to retirement community in July 2006. For us, a good move - general health good, P.T.L. One great-grandson and one on the way! Still trying to keep up with general trends in our profession. Never regretted one moment of becoming a DVM. I tried to be good at it and it was good to me!
Paulus, Chester W. Jr.: Still practicing, since I lost my son one year ago.
Kerpsack, William R.: Still actively practicing veterinary medicine in my 52nd year with my twin brother, Dr. Robert Kerpsack, in Youngstown, Ohio.
Gardner, Wade George: I wish I could make it back in September for the alumni meeting, but I have a conflict. My son, FL '85, is president of FVMA this year and I must go to be with them. I was president of FVMA from 1985-86 and know it is a tough job - takes a lot of time away from practice and family. He is doing a great job and I am very proud of him, so I must be there with him, although I will miss seeing my old classmates. Tell them all hello!
Barck, John C.: It has been trying to be an avid Buckeye fan, living among all those Gators fans here in Florida! I hope we can finish our football and basketball seasons better next year. Go Bucks! I enjoy seeing the dean and alumni at the annual North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando each year. I appreciate the society making it possible.
Epperson, Merrill Boyd: There are few, if any, health care professions that have the compassion of veterinarians - great volunteer work. Bank board, hospital board and several education foundations, as well as spending time at Caswell Beach, N.C. keep us very busy.
Hartman, Howard Andrew Jr.: Volunteers as board secretary of the Washington Association of New Jersey (our first national historical park, created in 1933). WANJ was mandated by the U.S. Congress in 1933. Also serves on board of C.L. Davis Foundation as registrar of study materials.
Callahan, William E.: I sold my four-doctor small animal practice in Seattle in 2001 and retired. I now ski in the mountains of Utah and the Pacific Northwest and travel in Europe and the U.S.
Capen, Sahron Martin: Husband, Dr. Charles Capen, Ohio State Distinguished University professor, died of Cancer in March, 2008
Miller, David: Happily retired in Florida and still doing an occasional consulting job.
Glick, Ray: Senior partner and owner of Banfield Pet Hospital in Gurnee, IL. He is also a member of the Board American Veterinary Medical Foundation.
Linnabary, Robert Dean: Retired from University College of Veterinary Medicine in August 2000, after 25 years. Retired from Tennessee Department of Agriculture in August 2008. Now contracting with U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Novy, James E.: Retired USDA - APHIS, member of AVMA, member of U.S. Animal Health Assocation (parasitic diseases committee and foreign and emerging diseases committee).
Werner, Richard Stanley: I have been retired for one year - finally have more time to work my draft (Percherons) horses and do a little traveling.
Ross, James N.: "Retired" from Tufts University January 1, 2006 - now working at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists for three days a week. My three daughters have given me four grandsons and one granddaughter - ranging in ages from 18 months to 18 years. And they all will fish, hunt, and hopefully try to preserve our nation's values of low taxes, reduced government spending, no "death taxes," and help the poor. Happy to have anyone visit us in New England!
Mehling, Maridelle Hermes: Presently a clinician at ARC Vet Clinic, Trumansburg, NY. My husband, John (DVM '67), and I also have a dairy farm, Holsteins.
Tillman, Timothy E.: Serving eighth four-year term as township trustee, serving on board of trustees of Logan County Humane Society, as well as spaying / neutering cats.
Reynolds, Bill B.: Sold practices (veterinary associate, Bluefield and Princeton) and has retired.
Bryant, Allen Roy: Retired in January, 2008. My son will be taking over the practice at Salem Animal Hospital.
Kovsky, Michael: Debbie and I are a long way from Ohio - now in Seattle, and fortunate to have our son and two grandchildren close by. We are still active working, boating and traveling.
Slobody, Robert: Married, opened Northern Ohio Minimally Invasive Surgery Center in 2007. Referrals in orthopedic, advanced ear care, laparoscopy, arthroscopy and endoscopy.
Frey, Daniel Dee: Still married to Carol, traveling all over, showing Akitas, having fun, practicing and enjoying veterinary medicine.
Hughes, James C.: Sold veterinary clinic three years ago, but still working two days a week at the clinic. Also spending a lot of time with family and daughter's Arabian horse business.

Van Hutchison, Robert: Operates Animal Clinic Northview, Inc., open 24/7 and includes 16 veterinarians. He also speaks internationally on canine reproduction and infertility and races standard bred horses.
Cliffe, Thomas L.: I am entering my 35th year as associate veterinarian at the Graham Road Animal Hospital in Stow, OH. I also became a grandfather almost three years ago. My wife Karen is doing fine!
Crock, Joseph: Besides private practice, I am adjunct faculty in the veterinary technician program at Columbus State and Bradford School in Columbus. I have written a weekly newspaper article on animal health, titled "Furry Footnotes," for the Pataskala Standard since 1987.
Leimbach, Harvey Howard: Retired from the Army Reserve Vet. Corps. Enjoying doing relief work, traveling a little, raising hair sheep, meat boats and hay to feed them and our riding horse on our small farm. I really enjoy keeping in touch with classmates and so many are doing well. I'm looking forward to moving to the Florida Panhandle for "retirement," and to fish and ride more and work less. Mallu, Pema Choepel: I am a Tibetan Buddhist nun, volunteer veterinarian for our rescue sanctuaries for dogs and parrots (www.tarasbabies.org and www.garudaavairy.org). I am also pursuing a master's degree in human acupuncture at the Tai Sophia Institute and practicing as a holisitic veterinarian with certification in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Link, James F.: Another good year in North Carolina! Both of my children got married this past year and I don't think I have recovered from all the parties and celebrations yet. I also had the pleasure to attend Brent Garrison's daughter's wedding in Marco Island, FL, and got to see some old classmates there. I am still practicing solo and still married to the same beautiful wife, Susan, and life is good... ya'll come for a visit!
Pontius, Susan: 2008 marks 30 years! Our son, David, has been accepted into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine for Fall 2008 class! Daniel is a freshman at Ohio State also heading toward veterinary medicine.

Maimone, Mandi Laura: Currently living in Pataskala, Ohio, and is a founding member on the executive board of directors of HELP FIDO (www.helpfido.net), an organization formed to promote humane education, bite prevention, and to oppose breed-specific legislation.
McGill, Kathleen: Son, Ross, junior in college. Happily doing relief work throughout Ohio also Head Veterinary for the fifth time for the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race out of Fairbanks, Alaska to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. It is the other 1,000 mile race along with the Iditarod. I have been with the race for a total of 10 years. Traveled recently to Ireland, Spain and China.

Farkas, Joseph J.: Butch Farkas and wife, Lissa, welcomed twin boys, Jack and Sam, in December, 2006. Their oldest, Tyler, is 3. Butch practices at Belvoir Pet Hospital in South Euclid, OH.
Gingrich, K. Fred: Owner of Country Roads Veterinary Service and Ashland Veterinary Clinic. He is married to Michelle with four children: Abbey, 8, Avery, 6, Chloe, 2, and Ethan, 9 months.
Good, Tony E.: In January 2008, promoted to chief veterinarian for Select Sires. In October 2007, placed first in bred and owned animal milking yearling class at World Dairy Expo, which led to an all-American nomination (a first for our family's herd of Holstein cows).
Stout, Robert Carl: Emily, 14, starting freshman year in high school, Kristy, 12, starting 7th grade. Sheri manages Eastern Ohio Embryo. Sold Three Rivers Mixed Animal Practice in 2005 and started doing Bovine practice only, primarily embryo transfer. Certified in January, 2006 by the American Embryo Transfer Association.
Clay, Kristy S.: Staying busy with six-year-old twins, Luke and Natalie, and their four-year-old sister, Meredith, along with working part-time!
DeLong, Jean M.: Gave birth to daughter, Jordan Lucille Steinkomp, in May, 2007. Happy parents are Jean DeLong and husband John Steinkomp.
Wilson-Hart, Kristina M.: Received Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) in September, 2006. Currently running a solo mobile ultrasound practice in Vermont and New York.
Wren, Leslie E.: Leslie and husband Damon Wren purchased Mineral Wells Veterinary Clinic in Mineral Wells, WV in April 2007. We are enjoying this new challenge. Along with our sons, Spencer and Simon, we are active in Kung-Fu at a local Martial Arts center.
Charron, Julie Elizabeth Green: Currently resides in Kingston, NH with her husband, Steve. Their dog, Remy, and seven cats. She is still working at McGrath Animal Hospital, the practice she joined following graduation.

Hermann, Bernadette: I currently work at the Animal Neurology and ER Center doing emergency medicine. My husband and I are expecting our first child in August 2008.
Mercer, Robyn L.: Mike and I are pleased to announce our second daughter, Kailyn Lee Mercer. She was born July, 2007 and weighed seven pounds, five ounces. Her big sister, Madison Jayne, is thrilled to have her at home.

Esposito, Julie Stricker: Julie Stricker Esposito is currently working with her father at the Clermont Animal Hospital, a small and exotic animal practice in Batavia, Ohio. She and her husband, Dave, are expecting their first child in December.

Voss, Amy Meyer: Amy and her husband, Jordan, had their first child, Henry Ammon Voss, on October 22, 2007.
Kelsey-Flaherty, Laura: I am currently working at an emergency/critical care practice in the Jacksonville, FL area.
Teich, Daniel: Dan Teich is living in Arlington, Va and is one of the shelter veterinarians for the Washington Humane Society. He also sees house calls within Washington, D.C.
Wise, Amity: Spouse of Aaron Wise, DVM '07, is currently employed at East Holmes Veterinary Clinic. Our first child, Ethan Aaron Wise, was born on July 28, 2007.
Zielinksi, Scott Francis: Scott is currently a partner at West Park Animal Hospital. His wife, Kathleen, is a partner at University Ophthalmologists, Inc. on the east side of Cleveland. They have a four-year-old, Kelan, and a two-year-old, Hazel, as well as a Boxer and a cat. Everyone is doing great!

Snyder, Christopher J.: In April 2009, Chris successfully completed his board examination for
the American Veterinary Dental College. He is currently employed as
clinical assistant professor the University of Wisconsin's School of
Veterinary Medicine in the department of Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
Lindsey Culp Snyder is working for the UW's anesthesia department and
their son, Will, is celebrating his first birthday in September.
Strelec, Cynthia D.: Finished the 2008 San Antonio, Texas Rock ‘n' Roll Marathon, and in June 2009 started a small animal rotating internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists.
Johnson, Cynthia J.: Engaged to Marvin Larson of Hazard, NE in October 2007.
Karle, Wendy A.: New mother of Kiefer Liam Menard, born August, 2007 (Dad + spouse = Darcy M. Menard). Started new pet hospital (San Carlos Pet Hospital in San Carlos, CA) after a five-month maternity leave.
Krueger, Robert: Dr. Krueger purchased Mount Vernon Animal Hospital in May 2007, and was joined by Dr. Bevelhymer in practice. They have been aggressive at adding advanced services and medicine to the Mt. Vernon area and adding equine and farm animal services to the practice.
Marko, Shannon Theresa: Currently stationed in Ansbach, Germany, as the officer in charge of veterinary services.
Marteney, Jason Ross: Tara and I recently finished remodeling our home and are expecting our first child in April.
Musser-Walton, Andrea: Married to Davis S. Walton Jr. on November 29, 2008.
Rewick, Amy: Currently practicing general veterinary medicine in Denver, CO. Will be getting married in August '08.
Waterman, Tami: Brett and I are expecting our second child in July, 2008.
Bancroft, Ann: In December 2008, I joined Westerville Veterinary Clinic as a part-time associate veterinarian. I am also working part-time as the clinical study coordinator in the Cardiology Department at MedVet Medical and Cancer Center for Pets.
Bevelhymer, Jessica: Dr. Bevelhymer joined Dr. Krueger in practice at the MVAH in May, 2007. They have been aggressive at adding advanced services and medicine to the Mt. Vernon area and adding equine and farm animal services to the practice.
Fontius, Melinda Ann: I am currently working in a small animal clinic in North Phoenix, AZ.
Chung, Jeein: Currently employed as an associate veterinarian at Hoboken Animal Hospital and pursuing global Master's in public health at New York University.
Wise, Aaron: Spouse of Amity Wise, DVM '03, is currently employed at East Holmes Veterinary Clinic. Our first child, Ethan Aaron Wise, was born on July 28, 2007.
