CASE NUMBER #4

SIGNALMENT:

  • Species: Canine
  • Breed: Shetland Sheepdog
  • Age: 8 years
  • Sex: M

HISTORY:

For several months prior to presentation the owner noted weight loss despite a normal appetite. One week prior to presentation the dog began acutely bumping into objects. The RDVM had diagnosed the right eye as blind, but thought the left eye still had some vision. No diagnostic tests were performed or treatment attempted. The dog is mildly polyuric/polydypsic.
