That's what binds the collective professionals at the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. Our faculty, staff and students are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, service and outreach for the betterment of animals and people. We are also committed to diversity within our organization.

Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this exciting environment?

As a student in Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine at OSU, you’ll find not only a wealth of opportunities in the ever-expanding field of veterinary medicine, you’ll have the opportunity to work with an outstanding college faculty, many of whom are known nationally and internationally for their scholarship.

If you're seeking top tier research and graduate education programs, you’ll find activities within our three academic departments, Veterinary Biosciences, Veterinary Clinical Sciences and Veterinary Preventive Medicine, to be at the forefront of science.

Our researchers are proud to be a part of a long history of accomplishment and service in meeting the challenges of improving the health of animals, assuring the safety of the food supply and contributing to the understanding of the basic mechanisms of disease.

Professional and graduate students will experience a diversity of cases working in our Veterinary Teaching Hospital, the only comprehensive referral veterinary hospital in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. The college is proud to have one of the first and finest clinical residency programs in the nation, including its rank as the 5th best U.S. veterinary school by U.S. News & World Report.

Located in the state capital of Columbus, Ohio, and part of one of the largest universities in the world, the college benefits greatly from the large number of relationships we have with other OSU colleges, including the College of Medicine and Public Health, College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Science, and the College of Engineering. We are also actively engaged in the Columbus community though initiatives with the Franklin County Dog Shelter, the Capital Humane Society and other organizations.
